One of the most awaited smartphones was finally announced at a special event in Shanghai with two screens, dubbed Vivo NEX Dual-Display Edition. As we learned, Vivo isn’t the first manufacturer to try the second screen thing, but this company might be the first brand to make this work. In details, the second screen is not just a camera viewfinder; it can be your main display, too.

The Vivo NEX Dual-Display Edition specs flaunt a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED (1080 x 2340 pixels). There is no selfie camera, notch, chin or earpiece. Meanwhile, the back display comes in a smaller 5.49-inch Super AMOLED with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The new flagship takes power from the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, paired with a whopping 10GB of RAM. Besides that, this phone sports 128GB ROM.

Talking about the photography, the Vivo NEX Dual-Display Edition camera rocks a triple 12MP (Sony IMX363, f/1.79, dual-pixel PDAF) + 2MP (f/1.8) + TOF 3D camera (f/1.3, depth sensor). Additionally, the 3D camera can also map the face to create personalized beauty filters. Keeping the light on is a non-removable Li-Ion 3500mAh battery capacity that supports 22.5 fast charging. Software-wise, the Vivo smartphone ships with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box with Vivo’s FunTouch software skin on top.
