Sony Xperia Active 2019 edition: what’s new?

Back in 2011, Sony has introduced to the market the Sony Ericsson Xperia, which arguably the toughest handset on the market. Now, with the year 2019 starting, it seems like the Japanese brand is planning for a grand return of this device. Furthermore, the next successor of this phone can equip various high-end specs, making its a strong rival to other brands’ premium devices like Nokia 9 PureView, Samsung Galaxy S10 or Huawei P30 duo!

Regarding the design, the new Sony Xperia Active 2019 edition can packs a tall 21:9 screen 6.5 inch OLED display with HDR and X-Reality tech. Furthermore, there is also Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. On the other hand, the new Sony flagship should come running on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset. As a result, it can become the first Sony smartphone to support 5G network. On the other hand, the device also has the latest Android 9.0 Pie operating system!

Regarding the storage options, the Sony phone is going to offer 8GB RAM with two ROM: 128/256GB. There is also a microSD card which can expand up to 512GB. How about the photography system? The Sony Xperia Active 209 camera system can feature dual 32MP sensors up front with 4K HDR recording. Meanwhile, the front camera is another 26MP shooter. Furthermore, the high-end Sony device also has a great 4400mAh Ultra Power Saving battery in the mix with wireless charging. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back. Lastly, hidden in the curve is the S Force Speaker!
