Huawei sub-brand Honor has introduced an upcoming smartphone in Russia. This phone is the successor of the Honor 7S which was launched last year. In details, the Honor 8S specs feature a dewdrop notch display with a 5.71-inch LCD, along with a resolution of 720 x 1520 pixels. Moreover, the Honor smartphone has a tall 19:9 display and an impressive screen-to-body ratio. In addition, the Honor phone comes in Black, Blue, and Gold colors.
Talking about the hardware department, the Honor smartphone gets power from MediaTek’s entry-level quad-core chipset which is clocked at 2.0Ghz, dubbed MediaTek Helio A22 SoC. Furthermore, it is paired with IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Besides, this phone sports 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. There is a MicroSD card that can expand the storage up to 512GB. Keeping the lights in is a non-removable 3020mAh battery box without any fast battery charging.
Under the hood, the Honor smartphone works on EMUI 9.0-based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie as the operating system. For the optics department, the Honor 8S camera rocks a 13MP primary camera (f/1.8, PDAF) with a single Flash. Meanwhile, the second camera has 5MP. On the other hand, in terms of the connectivity options, they include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GLONASS, 3.5 headphone jack and MicroUSB port. For security, the Honor smartphone features Face Unlock feature instead of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

This phone is already available for sale in Russia. However, there is no word about global availability. We expect to see the new budget smartphone on May 17th. Besides, regarding the cost, the Honor 8S price starts around Rs. 9, 290 ~ $132.
