 The test results revealed a marked divergence from expectations. The Nord N30 SE is powered by a MediaTek 6020 processor, unlike the Snapdragon 695  found in its purported counterparts. Digital Chat Station’s latest post hints that upcoming OPPO Reno 12 series smartphones will sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series sub-flagship platform chipset. 

The post indicates that OPPO will equip the devices with the 2023 flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. Besides, the tipster suggests the OPPO Reno 12 might come with improved periscope telephoto sensors. This could be a new sensor with a higher optical zoom. This development is noteworthy, considering the impressive telephoto sensors featured in previous Reno models. While there’s currently no official information about the Reno 12 series, we can speculate based on past patterns. The OPPO Reno 12 series specs could flaunt a 6.7-inch screen with 1080 x 2412 resolution, the same as the Reno11 and Reno 10.

At its Unpacked event on Wednesday, Samsung launched its Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+, which have the usual incremental upgrades over their predecessors. However, the biggest leap is that they’re among the first smartphones to include generative AI capability – the same tech powering ChatGPT, Midjourney, and other AI tools – directly on the device. Notably, the new Samsung phones will get 7 years of major Android software updates and 7 years of security patches. 

These phones are roughly the same size as the S23+ (0.3mm narrower, 0.7mm taller, 0.1mm thicker) and weigh the same, but bring a display that is a tenth of an inch larger. In detail, Galaxy S24+ specs bring a 6.7-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution. Noteworthily, the 6.7″ display brings the experience quite close to the S24 Ultra at a lower price point. Meanwhile, Galaxy S24 specs flaunt a 6.2-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution.
